Agata Witek MA
Agata has been involved in music since she was a child. Originally from Poland, she studied Musicology and Instrumental Pedagogy to Masters level at the Catholic University of Lublin and the Music Academy in Gdansk. An experienced performer, she has also had the opportunity to perform in many countries, including the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Belgium, where she performed for the European Parliament. Agata loves how every student is different and requires an individual approach in lessons. She is committed to working with students to ensure they all achieve their unique aims and aspirations. Her experience with students of all ages and abilities has demonstrated to her the positive impact that music, and especially piano playing, has on people. From developing fine motor skills, memory and concentration in children to offering teenagers and adults a therapeutic hobby that brings great pleasure, playing the piano can have a positive impact on the body, mind and soul. This belief has a huge impact on Agata’s teaching as she looks to develop the whole person, not just the pianist.
As well as working for CCPT, Agata continues to be an active musician and regularly accompanies and works with local choirs. She lives in Coventry.
